Foundation Leadership

As Chairman and Founder of the SS Titan Foundation, Joseph Ricker brings his passion and commitment to preserving the memory of Titanic, remembering those lost in her tragic loss, and making a difference for many of the world's sick and needy children.
Mr. Ricker has been developing his entrepreneurial goals in recent years, and is currently involved in several start up ventures, including Titan Group Logistics LLC, Titan Productions LLC, Xenrgi, Titan Energy Investments, and AirWest Airlines, all of which fall under the umbrella of the Titan Group of Companies (TGC).
Much of Mr. Ricker's experience has been in working within the Minneapolis-St. Paul air freight industry, working with various firms since 1995. He recently completed a position with Pilot Thomas Logistics, where he served in Frac Logistics in the Bakken oil formation in northwestern North Dakota from 2011 to 2015, this in addition to his duties at the SS Titan Foundation.
Born on October 14, 1967 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Mr. Ricker attended both Harding and Humboldt High Schools in St. Paul before enlisting in the US Army in January 1986. Following graduation from training in August 1986, he specialized as a Patriot Missile Crewmember, MOS 16Tango.
Following his honorable discharge in August 1988, Mr. Ricker gained employment with the Minnesota North Stars professional hockey team in Bloomington, Minnesota in September 1988 (where he remained in various capacities until the franchise's move to Dallas in 1993), and furthered his education by attending the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis in 1989-90 and 1990-91.
Mr. Ricker's passion for Titanic began at the age of five after a visit to the Northtown Mall in Blaine, Minnesota - which for years had a massive and awe inspiring model of Titanic in one of its entrances (it was used in the 1953 film "Titanic," and was moved to the Fall River Maritime Museum in Massachusetts in 1984).
His current responsibilities with the Foundation are extensive, covering all aspects within the organization's structure - from assembling it's mission and vision into a legal entity, developing it's web content, it's business plan, beginning the assembly of the initial Board of Directors, soliciting and securing initial donations, applying for the organization's 501c3 exemption through the IRS, forging relationships with various potential strategic partners, and various other day-to-day duties.
Mr. Ricker, 53, is single and makes his home in Frisco, Texas.
